George Peachey has over 35 years teaching experience and is a member of the Music Teachers National Association, belonging to both the Maryland State and Montgomery County chapters. He completed the degree of Master of Music in Piano Performance at The Catholic University of America and pursued additional graduate studies at The Academy of Music in Vienna, Austria. His teachers have included Fernando Laires, Thomas Mastroianni, Michael Krist and Ylda Novik.

 

There are many aspects of music which are covered as part of the lessons. These include music theory, technical work, ear-training, music history and appreciation, repertoire building, performance techniques and sight-reading. In addition, each student periodically makes recordings of  favorite repertoire. Over time, this provides them with an archive of music learned, and a record of their progress as well.
