Collaborative Piano

George Peachey has been collaborating with singers and instrumentalists for over 30 years.

As a chamber musician, he has appeared on The National Symphony chamber music series, with The Stratford Chamber Players (led by former NSO concertmaster William Steck), The Washington Music Ensemble, and on Jerome Barry’s Embassy Series. Chamber music venues have included The Kennedy Center Terrace Theater in Washington, DC; The Walters Art Gallery in Baltimore, MD; The Corcoran Gallery in Washington, DC; Strathmore Mansion, in Rockville, MD; Harmony Hall in Fort Washington, MD; The Lyceum in Alexandria, VA;

The Flathead Music Festival, in Whitefish, MT; and Montpelier Cultural Arts Center in Laurel, MD.

 

 

In his role as vocal accompanist, he has worked with a wide range of singers, from students to Metropolitan Opera soloists. He has been associated with Washington (National) Opera, Prince George’s Opera, The Summer Opera Theatre (at The Catholic University of America), The Embassy Series, The Opera Society of Maryland, Opera Americana, Vocal Arts DC, The Washington International Competition, the Todd Duncan Voice Studio, and the Crittenden Opera Studio. He coaches standard operatic and art song literature, specializing in French and German diction.
